Funeral Planner

A calm, practical way to organise the arrangements. This workbook brings together the person, the service, the people involved, the tasks and the costs — so nothing has to be held in memory alone.

A closer look

See it in action

Shown with a short, clearly fictional example (Margaret Ellen Hartley) so you can see how everything fits together before adding your own details.

What's inside

Seven sheets, working together

Main features

No right way to use it

Fill in what's useful

There's no required order. Use whichever sections are useful to you, and leave the rest blank.

Guided input

Cells with a pale blue-green fill and an underline are for your own information; several offer a dropdown list so you can just choose an option.

Dashboard fills itself in

The Dashboard sheet updates on its own from what you enter elsewhere — you never need to fill it in directly.

Contacts kept deliberately separate

People added on Key Details (like the funeral director or celebrant) aren't copied to Contacts automatically — add anyone you want listed there directly.

Compatibility & important note

Opens where you already work

Works in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and LibreOffice Calc, with no macros or add-ons required. Spreadsheet software can display and behave slightly differently between programs and versions — minor differences in appearance are normal.

This workbook is for organising information only. It does not provide legal, medical, financial, probate or other professional advice. For matters like probate, estate administration, benefits or tax, please speak with an appropriate professional or your funeral director, who can usually point you in the right direction.
